Charter Primary School
Omnis’ Ziplok standing seam profile, in mill finish stucco embossed aluminium, has been used on the roof of the Charter Primary School in Coventry to provide a dramatic visual statement on this city regeneration project.
The classrooms are all built around a central circular atrium/assembly hall, and the slanting roofs give the appearance of a giant propeller. The slope of the roofs, as well as providing a striking appearance, allows them to drain away from the frontage to integral gutters at the back of each roof section.
Ziplok is increasingly being used on buildings within the education sector, where the system really comes into its own in meeting the requirements of this particular marketplace in terms of aesthetics, cost-effectiveness, ease of construction, lifespan and environmental considerations.
