Meet Paul Stephens, Omnis Area Sales Manager

Joining Omnis this month is Paul, our newest Area Business Manager for the West and West Midlands. Having recently worked for Coilcolor and Category Cladding, Paul comes with the knowledge and experience of the roofing and cladding markets. We asked Paul five questions to find out more about him and what he thinks Omnis brings to his customers and the construction industry.

1. Tell us a little bit about you…

I grew up in Gloucester, travelled a field and lived in Cheltenham then Abergavenny for a couple of years, but have since returned to my roots. I am fortunate that I have my family close by and currently I am enjoying the role as uncle to my first nephew; except when it comes to nappy time!

In my spare time I attempt the gym 3 times a week and my big passion is rugby. I used to play quite often and some would say I got to a fairly good level… probably not the guys who were my team mates though.

2. What do you aim to achieve in your role at Omnis?

Having worked in the roofing and cladding market for the last 3 years I have developed a passion for exterior solutions. As the Area Sales Manager for the West and West Midlands region I hope to become the first thought in my customer’s minds for our full range; offering a down to earth approach which is customer focused and always with a smile. This is the first role I’ve had in the industry that offers reciprocal business which I look forward to developing.

3. How long have you been working in the industry?

3 years now and before that I had my own business in the financial sector, running a directly authorised firm specialising in mortgage advice. I was lucky enough during this time to meet a mixture of celebrities from film and sport, providing them with bespoke advice. All my business was generated by word of mouth, employing an honest caring approach which has always kept me in good stead for each of my following roles.

4. What drove you to join Omnis?

Initially the valued product range and back up support. The envelope solutions Omnis offers is second to none. Since meeting the team it’s clear that they are the driving force behind the business as they are very friendly, supportive and want to help. I feel settled already and it’s only been a few weeks.

5. Where do you believe Omnis can make a real difference in the industry?

I believe with the personalities in the team we can offer a balance of people who are honest and genuinely care about the service we deliver. We have a varied product range with the technical expertise and support to back it up, thus helping support any potential partner to meet and exceed their customers’ expectations.
